The 2026 Colt Charity Bike Ride raised just under 16,000 euros for the ReDI School Berlin.
On September 10, 2026, the Colt Charity Bike Ride took place on the Berlin Wall Cycle Path. It was organized by Colt Technology Services in collaboration with NorthC Datacenters Germany, BECER GmbH, and Die Netz-Werker AG. Savecall participated as a sponsor, with one participant completing the 25-kilometer route. As a carrier-neutral sourcing advisor, we have been working closely with Colt for years.
The concept behind the event is simple: Participants ride a distance of their choosing, and companies from the partner network make donations based on the distance covered. The proceeds go to the ReDI School of Digital Integration in Berlin. This article summarizes how the day unfolded, where the money goes, and why we were there.
How the Charity Bike Ride Works
Participants chose between 25, 50, and 100 kilometers on the Berlin Wall Cycle Route. Companies from the partner network made donations based on the distance cycled. The event began in the morning, and in the evening, everyone gathered at the finish line where the total amount of donations was tallied.

This isn’t the first time Colt has done this ride. We’ve already covered the 2019 Colt Charity Bike Ride and the 2024 Colt Global Charity Bike Ride.
The Wall Cycle Route as a Route
The Berlin Wall Cycle Route runs once around West Berlin along the former border strip. The entire loop is about 160 kilometers long; part of it runs through the city center, while the majority of it passes through the surrounding Brandenburg countryside.
For the 25-kilometer route, this means a section that takes in both the city and its surrounding areas. Signs and memorials along the route serve as reminders of the city’s division.

Nadine, our contact at Colt, rode for Savecall. She chose the 25-kilometer route and lined up at the starting line wearing a Savecall jersey. She also carried a sign displaying our donation pledge, which we had sent to Berlin in advance.
The following day, a security workshop was scheduled at Colt’s Berlin office, featuring technical presentations for partners. Topics related to IT and network security are regularly on the agenda at partner meetings of this kind.
Just under 16,000 euros for the ReDI School Berlin
A total of just under 16,000 euros was raised that day. The funds will go to the ReDI School of Digital Integration in Berlin. Savecall contributed 500 euros to the total.
The total amount is based on the pledges made by all participating companies, calculated according to the number of kilometers driven. The total was tallied that evening, once everyone had returned to the finish line.
What the ReDI School Does
The ReDI School is a nonprofit educational initiative with locations in several German cities, as well as in Denmark and Sweden. It helps people who have fled to or immigrated to Germany enter digital professions.

Why We Were There

There is also a second point to consider. The ICT sector has been facing a shortage of skilled workers for years, while many immigrants are unable to utilize their qualifications here. Training programs like this one help bridge the gap from both sides.
