Internet – FAQs

What is business internet and how does it differ from residential internet?

Business internet is a dedicated commercial internet connection with guaranteed bandwidth, defined SLAs for uptime and response times, and symmetrical upload and download speeds. Residential connections have asymmetric bandwidth without SLAs, shared lines and best-effort availability. For businesses running cloud applications, VoIP telephony or multi-site connectivity, a dedicated business connection is essential.

Which internet technologies are available for businesses?

SAVECALL offers all relevant internet technologies for businesses: fibre for maximum bandwidth and stability, leased lines with guaranteed symmetric performance, wireless point-to-point as a fast alternative without civil works, SDSL for classic connections, and LTE or 5G as backup or initial access. Over 80 carrier partnerships enable an objective comparison. The right technology depends on location, availability, bandwidth requirements and budget.

What does business internet cost for companies?

Costs vary by bandwidth, technology and location. Fibre starts at around 100 euros monthly for 100 Mbit/s and ranges from 500 to 1,500 euros for 1 Gbit/s symmetrical. SDSL costs 200 to 600 euros monthly depending on bandwidth. Enterprise leased lines with 10 Gbit/s range from 1,500 to 4,000 euros. For a concrete price comparison, use our price check at the top of this page.

What bandwidth does my business need?

As a rule of thumb, plan 10 to 20 Mbit/s per employee, depending on application intensity. Pure office use with email and browsing needs less; cloud workloads, video calls and large data transfers significantly more. Symmetrical bandwidth is mandatory for VoIP, cloud backup or remote desktop. We analyse your actual usage in the consultation and recommend the right sizing.

How fast can a business internet connection be deployed?

Fibre connections are available within 8 to 16 weeks, depending on in-house wiring and any required civil works. SDSL and copper-based lines take 4 to 8 weeks. Wireless point-to-point can be deployed in 2 to 4 weeks when line of sight exists. LTE and 5G work as a transitional solution within days. We check availability and lead times in the initial consultation.

How does SAVECALL ensure internet uptime?

We define SLAs for uptime (typically 99.5 to 99.99 percent), bandwidth and mean time to repair. For critical sites we use dual connections with independent carriers and automatic failover. Through our Connectivity Dashboard you monitor all lines in real time. In case of incidents we coordinate troubleshooting directly with carriers and ensure compliance with contractually defined SLAs.
