Microsoft
is the world’s leading manufacturer of standard software, services and solutions that help people and companies of all industries and sizes to realize their full potential. Security and reliability, innovation and integration as well as openness and interoperability are at the heart of the development of Microsoft products.
Microsoft SaaS (/Software as a Service)
Microsoft Online Services have been available in the USA since October 2008, and now two online suites are also being launched in Germany. Since April 2009, Microsoft products such as Exchange, Sharepoint and Office Live Meeting have also been available as online versions for companies. These Internet applications provide companies with tools for working in distributed teams and for communication tasks, for example.
Companies can use these collaboration tools for as little as €2.56 per user per month.
With “Office Communications Online”, the manufacturer has also launched an extended instant messaging and presence service that integrates directly into Microsoft Office programs. Microsoft offers the online services as complete suites or as individual applications. Compared to the individual services, companies save 38 percent on costs when subscribing to the entire suite. For example, the Business Productivity Online Suite for up to 250 users costs 12.78 euros net per user per month.
At Microsoft, these SaaS offerings (Software as a Services) are called “Software + Services”, as they often involve a combination of software installed on the customer’s premises and additional services from the Internet.
For Robert Helgerth, Head of SMEs at Microsoft Germany, this type of offer is particularly interesting for companies in difficult economic times: “Creative solutions are in demand that enable companies to act quickly and with sound information and to operate profitably.” In his opinion, companies can use professional software with a very manageable budget and spend the time saved on working with their customers.
A first user of the Microsoft Online Service has already made itself known. It is GlaxoSmithKline. The pharmaceutical company has opted for the Business Productivity Online Suite and will use Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Office Communication Online, Office Live Meeting and the Microsoft Online Deskless Suite in future. For Ingo Elfring, Vice President Information Technology at GlaxoSmithKline, this step will result in a significant reduction in costs: “The switch to Microsoft’s online services will help us to reduce our running costs by an estimated 30 percent and will allow us to set up a variable cost model. This gives us one thing above all: flexibility.”

In a cluster, configuration changes are generally only made on one CUCM. The (changed) configuration information of this database is regularly replicated to the remaining CUCMs in the cluster. T-Mobile US Inc.
(NASDAQ: TMUS) announced today that it has officially completed its merger with Sprint Corporation to create the New T-Mobile, a supercharged Un-carrier that will deliver a transformative 5G network. The parent of the combined company is T-Mobile US, Inc.
The New T-Mobile’s commitment to building the world’s best broad and deep nationwide 5G network, which will bring lightning-fast speeds to urban areas and underserved rural communities alike, is more critical than ever, as reliable connectivity has become so important to Americans. With 14 times more capacity in six years than standalone T-Mobile has today, the New T-Mobile network will be able to offer unmatched value to consumers, with better service at lower prices. The company will also continue to focus on its commitment to customers and being a force for good. The enhanced scale and financial strength of the combined company will drive a planned investment of $40 billion into its network, business and more over the next three years. Synergies achieved from the integration have the potential to unlock massive scale and unleash at least $43 billion in value for shareholders.
