Virtual. Flexible. Future-proof.

A virtual PBX is the modern form of telephony.
It completely replaces the classic hardware system. This allows companies to make virtual calls, add extensions flexibly and save costs.

Advantages at a glance:

Problem: Traditional telecommunications systems are expensive, complex and inflexible. Every expansion or modernization causes additional costs and effort.

Solution: Virtual telephone systems run in high-security data centers, are flexibly scalable and ready for immediate use. Companies only pay for the services they actually use, without their own hardware or maintenance costs.

Features and functions of a virtual telephone system

By installing the CTI client, direct dialling from PC applications is possible. This also includes a connection to existing CRM systems. Users can quickly and easily configure basic functions that are commonly used in everyday life themselves via a web interface (= user portal) according to their requirements.

The hosted telecommunications system offers any number of telephone rooms including PIN queries for up to 50 subscribers. Faxes can be sent directly from any Office application with this solution. Faxes are received directly as attachments in PDF format in your own e-mail inbox.

Mobile integration

  • Reverse callback function for optimum use of a landline flat rate in the mobile phone contract
  • Direct integration of cell phones into the PBX as extensions
  • Worldwide connection to the PBX via WLAN or LTE/5G
  • Call transfer between the networks, also via mobile data connection if required
  • System functions (e.g. executive secretary function, toggling, etc.) also on the cell phone
  • Accessibility on cell phone in parallel via mobile phone number and landline number of the PBX
  • Selection function on the cell phone, whether calls are to be made via cell phone or via the system
  • Callback function for low-cost calls abroad

The system supports the FMC client on the following end devices: Nokia n (Symbian OS), Blackberry (RIM), Apple iPhone (from OS4), Android.
Incoming calls can be automatically distributed using announcements and voice dialogs.
The call center function is a web application and provides evaluations and statistics of calls and queues via the VoIP telephone system.

This function is mainly known from large corporations. The attendant console is a special software for reception that can be used to transfer and monitor any number of calls.

Frequently asked questions about the virtual telephone system

Highly detailed view of Earth from space with glowing city lights on the night side - symbol of global communication and connection.

What is a virtual telephone system?
A virtual PBX is a cloud-based telephony solution. All the functions of a classic system are provided in data centers – without the company’s own hardware.

What functions does a virtual PBX offer?
From forwarding, brokering and conference rooms to Fax2Mail, call center functions and the integration of smartphones as extensions – all classic telephone system functions are included.

How do I install a virtual PBX?
Setup takes place completely in the background. End devices (e.g. SIP telephones or softphones) are preconfigured and can be used immediately.

What does a virtual PBX cost?
The costs usually start at € 5 – 15 per user / month. As no hardware is required, maintenance and investment costs are eliminated. This saves companies considerable money in the long term.

How secure is a virtual telephone system?
Voice transmission is encrypted (e.g. SRTP). In addition, the systems are operated in certified high-security data centers, which guarantees reliability and data protection.

IP telephony as a virtual telephone system – and it’s that simple

The SIP end devices connect to the central telephone system in the network and transmit voice packets to other end devices via data lines. The signalling data is encrypted using the G711 codec, which optimizes both voice quality and bandwidth requirements (TÜV certified). Additional security is provided by booking voice data encryption using SRTP.

Fax transmission from conventional terminals can also be integrated into the system via the T38 protocol. An ATA (Analog Terminal Adapter) converts the analog signal into a digital signal and can thus communicate with the hosted telecommunications system. However, you also have the option of switching completely to eFax. With this solution, faxes can be sent directly from any Office application. Faxes are received directly as attachments in pdf format in your own e-mail inbox.

Provider

A low-cost, flexible and maintenance-free virtual telecommunications system is becoming increasingly attractive for companies. Of course, there is a large number of providers. Savecall can put you in touch with all national and international providers and find the right solution for your business case.
