Placetel tariffs at a glance

Placetel cloud telephone systems are an advantageous, future-proof and significantly cheaper alternative to conventional telephone systems. The decision to switch to a cloud telephone system brings many other advantages, such as high scalability. Add subscribers and get a complete workstation with a telephone number in just a few minutes.

With its redundant technology hosted in four different BSI-certified data centers, the Placetel telephone system offers maximum security and is subject to German data protection regulations.

The basic version Placetel Profi with 150 functions is available for €4.90 per month per extension. If you wish, you can also book additional options such as various flat rates. You can use the Placetel + Webex collaboration suite with cloud telephony, online meetings, team messaging and much more for €9.90 per month per user.

There is no minimum term for Placetel Profi, Placetel + Webex, Trunking and Mobil. These products can be canceled with one month’s notice to the end of the month.

The Placetel PROFI Complete and Placetel +Webex Complete tariffs have a contract term of 24 months, during which the IP telephones included in the tariff are available to you.

What is Placetel and which companies is it suitable for?

Placetel is a cloud phone system from the German provider Placetel, part of the UK-based Gamma Communications Group. The solution runs entirely in the cloud, with no local hardware beyond endpoint devices. Placetel is particularly suitable for small and medium-sized businesses with 5 to 500 employees, distributed teams and companies modernising their legacy ISDN or PBX systems. Servers are located in Germany and comply with GDPR. SAVECALL is a Placetel Gold Partner and implements the solution across Germany.

What features does the Placetel cloud phone system offer?

Placetel provides all features of a modern business phone system: centralised number management, voicemail, call forwarding, queues, conference rooms, mobile and desktop apps, fax server, call centre functions and integration with Microsoft Teams and common CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot. The web portal lets you manage users, routing and statistics centrally. Updates happen automatically without interrupting your operations.

What does Placetel cost per extension?

Placetel tariffs start at around 7 euros per extension monthly for the basic plan with telephony and voicemail. The standard plan with extended features is around 12 euros, the pro variant with call centre features and Teams integration is around 20 euros per user monthly. How does Microsoft Teams integration with Placetel work?

Placetel can be used as a telephony backend for Microsoft Teams (Direct Routing). Employees call directly from the familiar Teams interface using standard landline and mobile numbers, without a separate phone app. Configuration includes SBC setup, number porting and Teams Phone licences. SAVECALL handles the complete implementation including user migration. Typical setup time: 4 to 8 weeks depending on the number of extensions.

How secure and reliable is Placetel?

Placetel operates its cloud infrastructure in German data centres with ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certification. Voice transmission is encrypted via TLS and SRTP. Uptime is 99.9 percent according to SLA, backed by redundant sites and automatic failover. For business-critical scenarios we recommend additionally dual-connecting sites via two independent internet accesses, to remain reachable in case of line outages.

How quickly is Placetel ready to use?

A standard setup with up to 25 extensions and simple number porting is productive within 4 to 6 weeks. For larger setups with multi-site rollout, Teams integration or call centre configuration, plan 8 to 12 weeks.
