The question: Which All IP solution is best suited to your corporate communications?

What is behind 1&1 Voice Business

1&1 Versatel began streamlining its product portfolio back in December 2016. Starting in May 2017, two Versatel Voice Business products will also be merged. The previous products VT voice and Office speed&voice will be unified into the product 1&1 Voice Business. 1&1 Voice Business is a Voice + Internet bundle product, which is mainly due to the imminent ISDN switch-off. As telephony now runs over IP – i.e. via the Internet – 1&1 is offering its voice product in combination with a 50 Mbit/s DSL line. It is offered in the following variants:

Innovations in Voice Business

With 1&1 Voice Business you get

Frequently asked questions

What is 1&1 Voice Business?

1&1 Voice Business is a combined voice and internet bundle from 1&1 Versatel. It merges the former products VT voice and Office speed&voice into a single All IP solution. Telephony runs entirely over the internet, combined with a DSL line of up to 50 Mbit/s. The product is primarily a response to the ISDN switch-off and is aimed at companies that want to move their telephony to All IP.

Which connection variants does 1&1 Voice Business offer?

1&1 Voice Business is offered in three variants: as an ISDN multi-device connection, as an ISDN PBX connection with S0 and S2M interfaces, and as a SIP PBX connection. This means both classic phone systems and modern SIP systems can be connected. The switch to All IP is possible without having to replace the existing phone system straight away.

What is included in the 1&1 Voice Business package?

The package includes a DSL internet line of up to 50 Mbit/s depending on availability at the site, a fixed IP address, an SLA with an eight-hour fault clearance time, and reduced national connection costs. Optionally, flat rates for landline, mobile, national and European calls can be added. The fixed IP address is particularly relevant for secure corporate communication.

Is switching worthwhile for existing customers?

Yes, switching from the old contract to 1&1 Voice Business can also be worthwhile for existing customers. The new product bundles voice and internet, offers a fixed IP address, a binding SLA and reduced national connection costs. Whether the switch pays off in a specific case depends on the existing contract, the services used and availability at the site. SAVECALL checks this vendor-neutral.

What does the ISDN switch-off mean for companies?

With the switch-off of ISDN, companies have to move their telephony to All IP, i.e. telephony over the internet protocol. Products such as 1&1 Voice Business bundle voice and data connections for this and offer migration paths via ISDN and SIP connections. Planning the switch early avoids time pressure and allows connection variants, bandwidth and conditions to be compared calmly.

How does SAVECALL support with 1&1 Voice Business?

SAVECALL supports companies as an independent telecommunications consultant with selection, price negotiation and migration. We analyze the existing infrastructure, check savings potential, clarify availability at the site and obtain current special conditions. Through framework contract conditions we secure terms that are not available directly from 1&1 Versatel, and on request we accompany the entire ordering and changeover process.
