Only 5% of Africans have a bank account, personal loans are practically unavailable and there are no business start-up programs. There are many good ideas, but there is a lack of the smallest start-up capital, which is often only EUR 100.
BIRIMA is Africa’s first “cooperative bank”.
Anyone can open a bank account for as little as EUR 20 and apply for a microcredit if it goes well. You can present your idea to an independent advisory board and receive coaching. If the project is viable, you present your project in front of a video camera and promise that you will repay the loan. The video can be shown to the borrower’s family if the loan is not repaid. The promise of your own and your family’s honor is the best guarantee of trust for Birima.

Sunu Dome e.V.
Sunu Dome was created through contact with people who have no support to successfully complete their schooling.
During a stay in Senegal, the country of the project, we noticed that many young people in Thiès none are able to enjoy a sustainable school education. For many girls and boys in the village, school ends after elementary school, and we would like to help promote the development of every young person in the village.

Case des Tout-Petits
Since April 2004, the Senegalese government has been implementing the national “Case des Tout-Petits” (PNCTP) program throughout the national territory. This program, for the care of young children aged 0-6, is one of the central concerns of Senegal’s development policy.
It gives all Senegalese children aged 0-6, especially those from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, access to appropriate and integrated services (education, health, nutrition).

INfreestyle
INfreestyle e.V. Since 2015, the non-profit organisation INfreestyle e.V. based in Ingolstadt has been supporting children and young people through creative media and cultural work, regardless of background, social status or disability. Free workshops in music, media, hip-hop and nature provide spaces where young people can discover their talents, try new things and build community. Since 2023, the organisation has reached around 2,000 young people. In 2026, INfreestyle was awarded 1st prize at the Bavarian Integration Prize for its project “HipHop Heroes – Language Creates Home”, as well as the Black Lion Award for its long-standing commitment.
