Business Project Poland

Master’s students from Munich Business School are building a business plan for SAVECALL’s market entry into Poland.

On 15 October 2026, SAVECALL welcomed a project team from Munich Business School to its headquarters in Grünwald. The occasion was the kick-off of the business project “Market Entry Poland”: four master’s students in finance are assessing whether and how SAVECALL should enter the Polish market with business internet for companies.

Not a case study, but a real management question. By spring 2027, a business plan will be ready that feeds directly into the management’s decision.

Kick-off in Grünwald

Academic supervision is provided by Prof. Dr. Johannes Hofinger, Professor of Finance and Accounting at Munich Business School. On the SAVECALL side, CEO and founder Nikolaus von Johnston, Juarez Williams, Head of Sales Strategy and project sponsor, and Viviane Wala from project coordination took part.

The meeting had three goals: introducing SAVECALL, setting the project frame and agreeing on how we work together. Most of the time went into the students’ question catalogue: what is evidence, what is an assumption, and where does the team need to validate itself?

A Real Management Question Instead of a Case Study

The business project is an integral part of the Master in Finance at Munich Business School. In it, students work on a concrete, practical question on behalf of a company.

We did not invent an exercise. We handed the team the question we are actually facing. The students work with real, anonymised data from our DACH business, and their recommendation feeds directly into the management’s decision.

Why Poland? Four Assumptions the Team Is Testing

Our reasons for Poland are, for now, management assumptions. Collecting and assessing the market data behind them is the task of the project:

Nearshoring: Many German companies are relocating production and services to Poland. Connectivity for these sites is often decided at the German headquarters.

Proximity and EU single market: Geographic proximity and a common European legal framework keep the complexity of a market entry manageable.

Market size: Poland is the largest economy in Central and Eastern Europe, with a broad base of mid-sized companies and many businesses with several sites.

Existing demand: Several of our German customers already operate sites in Poland that SAVECALL connects today from Germany.

What the Project Should Answer

The result is a business plan with a market, product, competition and financial section. It gives the management a sound basis for four decisions:

Go or no-go: Is a market entry into Poland worthwhile for SAVECALL at all?

Entry model: Which model fits best?

Timing: When and in which steps should the launch take place?

Funding: How can the market entry be financed soundly?

The focus is on symmetric business internet with fixed IP addresses for companies.

How We Work Together

Juarez Williams is the team’s dedicated contact, with a fixed weekly meeting. Viviane Wala coordinates appointments and documents.

An interim presentation follows in early November, and the students will present their results in spring 2027.

What This Means for Our Customers

We already connect our customers’ sites worldwide today, including in Poland. Carrier-neutral, with one point of contact and through our network of more than 80 carrier partners.

The project shows us how we can support companies with sites in Poland even more closely in the future, for example when choosing the right internet provider in Poland.

How SAVECALL Supports You

SAVECALL is not a carrier, but a carrier-neutral sourcing and consulting partner for telecommunications and IT connectivity. For companies with several sites in Germany and abroad, we provide global connectivity from a single source.

With access to more than 80 carrier partners, we compare prices, SLAs and availability per site and rely on multi-carrier connectivity instead of dependence on a single network.

All the major carriers worldwide. One portal. One SPOC. One invoice.

Conclusion: A Project with Real Consequences

We thank Prof. Dr. Johannes Hofinger and the project team from Munich Business School for their visit to Grünwald and a successful start. We look forward to working together over the coming months and will report as soon as the results are available.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Business Project with Munich Business School

What is the business project “Market Entry Poland”?
The business project “Market Entry Poland” is a collaboration between SAVECALL and Munich Business School. In it, four master’s students in finance assess whether and how SAVECALL should enter the Polish market. The kick-off took place on 15 October 2026 at SAVECALL’s headquarters in Grünwald. The result is a business plan with a market, product, competition and financial section that feeds directly into the management’s decision.

Who is involved in the project?
Academic supervision is provided by Prof. Dr. Johannes Hofinger, Professor of Finance and Accounting at Munich Business School. The project team consists of four master’s students in finance. On the SAVECALL side, CEO and founder Nikolaus von Johnston, Juarez Williams as Head of Sales Strategy and project sponsor, and Viviane Wala from project coordination support the project. Juarez Williams is the team’s dedicated contact, with a fixed weekly meeting.

Why is SAVECALL assessing a market entry into Poland?
SAVECALL sees four reasons, which the project team is testing as management assumptions. Many German companies are relocating production and services to Poland and decide on connectivity for these sites at their German headquarters. Geographic proximity and the EU single market keep complexity manageable. Poland is the largest economy in Central and Eastern Europe. In addition, several of SAVECALL’s German customers already operate sites in Poland that are connected from Germany today.

Which questions should the project answer?
The project should give the management a sound basis for four decisions. First: is a market entry into Poland worthwhile for SAVECALL at all? Second: which entry model fits best? Third: when and in which steps should the launch take place? Fourth: how can the market entry be financed soundly? In terms of content, the analysis focuses on symmetric business internet with fixed IP addresses for companies.

When will the results be available?
The results will be available in spring 2027. The timeline follows the business project framework of Munich Business School: after the kick-off on 15 October 2026, the team presents a project plan, and an interim presentation follows in early November. In spring 2027, the students present their results. SAVECALL takes the recommendation into the management’s decision and will report as soon as the results are available.

What does the project mean for companies with sites in Poland?
For companies with sites in Poland, nothing changes in the support they receive today. SAVECALL already connects sites in Poland, carrier-neutral, with one point of contact and through a network of more than 80 carrier partners. The project shows how SAVECALL can support companies with sites in Poland even more closely in the future. Anyone with questions about connecting Polish sites today can reach SAVECALL through the bookings page.
