The Berlin Wall Cycle Route runs once around West Berlin along the former border strip. The entire loop is about 160 kilometers long; part of it runs through the city center, while the majority of it passes through the surrounding Brandenburg countryside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the 25-kilometer route, this means a section that takes in both the city and its surrounding areas. Signs and memorials along the route serve as reminders of the city\u2019s division. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
